Houston, TX – In the wake of the disaster that destroyed the city of Port-Au-Prince in Haiti this past Tuesday, UGK founding member Bun B has gathered a stellar line-up of Houston artists for a fund raiser event that has been called “Houston For Haiti.” The show will take place Monday, January 18 (MLK Day) from 4 to 8 PM at Warehouse Live in Houston.
Along with Bun B, Slim Thug, Trae The Truth, ESG, Lil O, Candi Redd, Just Brittany, Corey Mo and The Party Boyz have been confirmed to perform, so far. More artist are expected to join the bill. Local athletes including Vince Young of the Tennesse Titans will also make appearances. “We all need to get involved” says Bun B. “Race, color or creed, we are all Haitians right now, and we need to help our brothers and sisters!”
The event has been organized with supporting partners Red Bull, Houston radio station KBXX The Box, www.care.org, and the Houston Community Center.
Tickets go on sale today at $ 20 and can be purchased through www.warehouselive.com; tickets will be $30 at the venue’s box office on Monday. All proceeds will be donated to Haiti relief funds through www.care.org; Donations drop off sites will also be set up at the venue.
