Recently, French songwriter Katie Farrah Sopher announced that she would be suing Disclosure among their collaborators Sam Smith, AlunaGeorge and Eliza Doolittle for allegedly stolen lyrics. The lawsuit is over a few of the groups most popular songs, including 'Latch,' 'You & Me' and 'White Noise.' After news of this suit began to circulate throughout the music world, the English duo took to Facebook to clear a few things up. During their PSA, Disclosure assured fans that the they in fact did not steal lyrics on those tracks, but stated that they write the lyrics along with their collaborators to all of their songs. The group also gave us a status update on their sophomoric release, saying that is coming along nicely. Look for them to release that album sometime in 2015. Stay tuned for updates as we look for them to capitolize on their remaining buzz from their breakout debut, Settle.
